In the first step of your project you will look at various websites and shop for your new baby. You will have $4,700 to decide what things you need to have for when your baby first arrives. Follow these steps to finish step 1 of your project. Once your excel sheet is completed, you may move to step 2. Make sure to save your excel sheet to your computer because you will turn it in at the end.

1. Open this excel sheet

2. Begin browsing various websites that sell baby items. (Suggestions include buybuyBaby, Carter's, Pottery Barn, Target)

3. When you find an item that you think you need, add the name and price of it to your excel sheet.

​

4. Once you have picked out everything you need, add up all your items and make sure it is under $4,700.

​

5. If the price of all the items you put in is above $4,700, please go back and adjust your items.

​

6. Remember to purchase important items before items for fun (babies don't need tons of toys right away!)

7. There is a list of items that you MUST purchase for your baby on the excel sheet. First, purchase these things. Then, with any money left over, feel free to keep shopping for your baby until you reach the limit of $4,700.

8. Once your total is below or at $4.700, you may continue to step 2.
